10 Barriers to Great Leadership
There are plenty of articles online about how to become a great leader, but this one by Brian Evje discusses 10 barriers to possessing great leadership. His barriers include not thinking that you can become a leader, ignoring the value of mistakes, and refusing help, for example. He goes on to explain that not surrounding yourself with the right people can lead to bad advice, and how (if you do surround yourself with the right people), you can still create a barrier by not letting them do the job you hired them to do. Interestingly, another barrier can be having too good of a memory ““ that is, remembering every failure, every mistake by others, and every bad day.
