You’re losing accounts to the new employer of a salesperson who left your company. Lighthouse Security Group said one of its customers noticed that it was losing accounts to a key salesperson who had been fired. This salesperson was never removed from Salesforce and was using proprietary data stored there to harvest the company’s clients.
Keeping a tight leash on the use of cloud applications can also not be as troubling as the example above. For instance, if you’re users have multiple Post-it notes with different passwords and logins for each cloud app, it might be time to create a single login solution. By doing this you are not only helping your users, but you’re also cutting down the administrative load of the help desk and the risks associated with exposed passwords.
