Skills for the CIO Class of 2015
What skills will the CIO of the (near) future need? According to Martha Heller of CIO.com, it’s a mix of foundational IT skill and expanded business acumen. In particular the CIO class of 2015 needs to have vendor management experience, a good understanding of development lifecycles and PMOs, as well as perhaps some consulting experience. Heller also provides some “no brainer” skills that make new CIOs the most desirable to hire, including Industry and geographic diversity and talent-supply-chain management.
